Work includes resurfacing sidewalks and islands with epoxy coating, adding benches, increasing ADA-compliant passenger loading zones, removing ceilings under Upper World Way, and installing new lighting over sidewalks, crosswalks, and islands. Landscape improvements restore and enhance planting areas between World Way and CTA parking garages and around the Theme Building with climate-appropriate, low-water species. Eight parking garages will be repainted natural white to provide a clean backdrop for new landscaping. The project creates a safer, more welcoming first impression for travelers and supports Los Angeles' long-term sustainability goals.
